Cinnamon Dolce Latte Recipe
If you're enjoying the Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks, then you might enjoy a homemade version that tastes pretty delicious. Easy to do, and not a bad low calorie indulgence either!
Ingredients:
Shot of Espresso
Dusting - 1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 Cup of milk for steaming
Sugar to taste
Smuckers Caramel Sundae Syrup (Optional, but recommended)

Pull your shot of espresso and mix in the ground cinnamon, start small because it's easy to go overboard. Mix in sugar if desired. Steam milk and top off to make your latte. Drizzle the sundae syrup over the top of the latte in rapid circles. (If you just squeeze the thing, you'll shoot gobs of caramel syrup through the steamed milk, but quick circular patterns keeps the drizzled syrup on top of the foam.)

I wanted to try this, it's a great idea. But since nothing beats homemade ingredients, I made my own caramel with brown sugar and butter (eyed out). Very simple, about 1 or 2 TBS of butter and then brown sugar. No need for white sugar after adding this.
Also you can add a combination of cinnamon and cloves for spices! I added 1/2 tsp vanilla syrup. I would halve the milk to steam or add 1/4 cup half and half to steam....yummy!
the best thing to do is just buy a bottle of the Cinnamon Dolce syrup, which Starbucks sells, as that is the whole taste of this drink. Trust me, I've tried all kinds of different ingredients at home and nothing beats SB's actual CDL syrup. For a one litre bottle @ only $9.50, it's definitely worth it! I add it to just regular coffee, too - verses the usual sugar or honey.
Give it a try!
