Nespresso Shops Open NYC, DC and Paris!
Nespresso is on a tear these days, having just opened a new store in Paris on the Champs d Elysees, and two new ideas for them, Boutiques in stores; one in SoHo, NYC and one in Chevy Chase MD. The Cafes are in Bloomingdales and there you can enjoy the wonderful taste of espresso while considering a purchase of a new machine or if you already have a machine, it can be an easy place to pick up more capsules. (Man check out that picture up there - don't you wish you had a wall like THAT and all of those lovely espresso capsules?!?!)
I love my Nespresso Essenza C100T for its small size, ease of use and its excellent espresso. I just got in some of the new Nespresso Variations - flavored espresso capsules and they look pretty good; can't wait to crack into them tomorrow. They come in three varieties and are available for a limited time at the Nespresso stores and boutiques, as well as online at the Nespresso Club.
The new flavors are:
Almond
Cardamom
Chocolate Orange
Press Release and addresses of the new Boutiques follow....
Nespresso celebrates the launch of two new distribution points with the opening of two Boutique-in-Shop locations in the United States. This retail expansion gives U.S. consumers the first-ever opportunity to purchase Nespresso’s coffee capsules in store. Now open at Bloomingdale’s in both the New York and the D.C. areas, the U.S.
Nespresso Boutique-in-Shop locations include:
• Bloomingdale’s, SoHo, 504 Broadway, New York, N.Y.
• Bloomingdale’s, 5300 Western Avenue, Chevy Chase, Md.
While Nespresso machines are widely available at retail locations throughout the United States, until now, Nespresso customers only had one other North American retail location in which to purchase Nespresso capsules. New York City welcomed its first Nespresso Boutique Bar last November, which, in addition to Nespresso machines and coffee capsules, offers a full menu of food and espresso drinks. Nespresso capsules are also available to Nespresso Club members online at www.nespresso.com or by calling 1-800-562-1465.
“Offering our premium coffee capsules at retail locations is a direct response to consumer demand,” said Frederic Levy, President of Nespresso North America. “While our customers are accustomed to ordering online or by phone, retail locations allow customers to fulfill their needs immediately – something Nespresso Club members have been requesting in recent years.” Levy goes on to say, “The Boutique-in-Shop concept is a very popular model worldwide and we are eager to establish an even stronger brand presence in the United States and Canada. Looking ahead, we plan to open as many as 40 Nespresso Boutiques in North America by the end of 2011.”
Similar to the company’s Boutiques worldwide, Bloomingdale’s Boutiques-in-Shop are staffed with Nespresso Coffee specialists to help guide consumers through the varied selection of award-winning single-serve coffee machines and 12 Nespresso Premium Blends. The Boutiques-in-Shop will also offer a range of accessories, as well as Special and Limited Edition coffees and products.
Sleek and stylish, the Boutique-in-Shop concept offers a warm, inviting environment in which customers can comfortably peruse Nespresso’s full range of machines and products. Customers will also be able to sample Nespresso’s Premium Blend coffees.
Nespresso’s stylish machines range in price from $179 to $799. Boutique-In-Shop customers are also able to select from a range of accessories, including limited edition cups and saucers, capsule dispensers, and travel cases.
