Macy's is running a Thanksgiving Day sale on the CBTL Americano brewer for $99, down from the $149 regular price. Pretty good deal on this single serve espresso machine. The CBTL runs on Caffitaly capsules that are commonly available at places like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, as well as online at the CBTL Website.
The CBTL Americano can brew several sizes, including espressos and larger cups of coffee. With several varieties to choose from, the capsule selection is good. Check out my full review of the CBTL Americano if you want to learn more. Also, more at CBTL Website for the CBTL Americano. See the video below too!
The CBTL Americano is getting a push from Bed Bath and Beyond with a feature on the front page of their circular this week. The Espresso, coffee and tea maker features high pressure brewing, a large reservoir and several selectable cup sizes. The CBTL capsule system is based on the Caffitaly platform, and offers over a dozen different varieties of drinks.
On the back of my circular, there is a coupon for $5 off a $15 dollar purchase, making the resupply of capsules a little bit easier.
If you like Starbucks and the holiday season then this promotion is for you. The 12-days of sharing promo is about to start, that has them offering special deals and offers for the first 12 days of December. This year they are using SMS Text messages as the promotion route to bring their sharing message to the consumers. So while promos at Foursquare, Facebook and Gowalla are all the rage, Starbucks must want to reach a broader audience who may not be in the 4% of the population who have tried the check-in services.
How to Sign Up for "12 Days of Sharing" Starbucks Promotion
The Promo starts 12/1; hurry if you want to sign up. It takes seconds to sign up.
Just text "12Days" to 29943, and you will receive notification everyday about what the deal or special offer is that day. They will send back a confirmation text that says "Thanks for signing up to get 12 Days of Sharing texts. Everyday there'll be a great offer from Starbucks. Text STOP to end, message and data rates apply."
Thought I would let you know that Illy has a deal going on right now to buy the Illy iperEspresso X8 machine for $175 (regularly $445), when you get a membership to their capsule club. The little capsule club will send you 3 cans of capsules a month (63 espresso capsules) when you are in the club. You can of course cancel your membership after the first month, and buy the capsules where ever you wish and whenever you wish. The Illy iperEspresso X8 is a pretty well constructed little capsule machine that delivers 15 bars of pressure through a stainless steel lined aluminum thermoblock heater from the 22 ounce reservoir.
The capsules come in medium roast - a smoother balanced flavor, dark roast - a certainly more robust dark roasted flavor, Decaf Medium roast and a Lungo - a medium roast long espresso that delivers two ounces for a larger cup.
If you haven't checked out the sale going on over at Whole Latte Love, you should. There are a lot of machines and accessories on sale for some pretty good prices. I am not talking blind shopping here, you still need to check elsewhere, but there are a lot of items on sale and some pretty good bargains on nice machines.
I know a lot of readers who really want a Nespresso machine but who also feel that they are pretty expensive at the stores. Well if you are OK with refurbished machines, you may not know that Nespresso maintains its own eBay storefront for refurbished Nespresso machines. The most common ones are the Essenza, Le Cube, Romeo and the D90 units.
I have been watching them for some time, and the prices can really be very low; $75 for a Nespresso machine is pretty amazing. The ones that I see feature a "6 month Advanced Exchange Warranty. That means that if the product should need service within the warranty period, Nespresso will send out a a temporary replacement unit while service is being completed. This not only gives you peace of mind but also a working Nespresso machine while yours is away."
The latest cups in the Illy Espresso cup collection will let you see all of that beautiful crema and espresso that you brew and while you drink. The crystal espresso cups are the latest expression of what the espresso drinking experience can rise to. The lead free crystal will undoubtedly impress. It is also available with free shipping until midnight August 21st. Hurry.
Illy dropped this deal in my inbox; thought I would pass along. Free Shipping on orders from them, like Illy Coffee, FrancisFrancis machines, mugs and cups, etc.
The Saeco Aroma semi-auto espresso machine is on sale at Costco for just $219 now through 6/22. This is a pretty capable unit and when I used one for a while I thought that it brewed a very respectable shot of espresso. The unit easily cranks out shot after shot, and puts a nice crema layer on the top too.
Hey, in the times of $3.50 a gallon gas, $5 off coffee is something I'll take, and something I was happy to redeem yesterday for some French Roast K-Cups. The coupon came as part of the email newsletter that I subscribed to a while back. I'd recommend it as it always comes through with some sort of deal or news in it.
I drink my K-cups from the Keurig B-70, which is a pretty easy way to get a good cup of coffee when I am not kicking back a few shots of espresso.
Hurry - Deal ends in 2 days - 4/24.

So these are my favorite glasses, and now they are only $7.99 down a bit from recent prices. The espresso just hangs there in all of its crema-topped beauty. The double walled laboratory glass keeps the espresso hot and your fingers cool. So while you might need to add a bit to get the free shipping, it's a great deal on these glasses.
Just in case you still needed some espresso equipment, Whole Latte Love has a 10% off sale going on right now. The 10% off all orders offer has some restrictions, and requires the code: newyr08.
So if you need an espresso machine or a new grinder, or maybe just some cleaning supplies and coffee cups, cruise on over there to see all the deals.
